Atrium Vitis

Terroir wines from Ribeira Sacra (Galicia)

Atrium Vitis is a family project in Ribeira Sacra working on steep terraced vineyards along the river gorges.

The focus: indigenous varieties (including Mencía and Godello), vinified parcel by parcel with minimal intervention. Old vines on slate (lousa/pizarra) bring tension, freshness and a saline-mineral signature—wines with elegance, precision and drinkability for gastronomy and enthusiasts.

Wines & style

Mencía (red): red fruit (cherry, raspberry), violet, cool slate minerality; lean, energetic and fine-grained tannins.
Godello (white): citrus, white blossom, stone fruit; broad texture with a saline, chalky finish.
Parcel selections: extra nuance in altitude, exposure and soil—made for wine lists seeking distinction.

Why
Atrium Vitis?

Origin above all: steep terraces, manual work and low yields.
Minimal intervention: spontaneous or neutral fermentation, limited extraction, restrained use of oak.
Parcel by parcel: micro-vinifications that allow soil, exposure and altitude to speak.
Restored old vineyards: revitalization of historic parcels on lousa/pizarra slate.
Gastronomy-driven: clear fruit, fine acidity and precise tannins/structure.

Food pairing & applications

Aperitif & bar: Godello by the glass—fresh, juicy and gastronomically flexible.
Fish & seafood: Mencía lightly chilled with pulpo, shellfish, cod and grilled sardines.
Refined courses: Godello with ceviche, sea bass tartare, asparagus and creamy sauces; Mencía with mushrooms, quail or veal.
Vegetarian: both excel with grilled vegetables, risotto, romesco and soft cheeses.

Atrium Vitis delivers finely pure, mineral wines with a clear Ribeira Sacra signature: cool, linear and elegant. Perfect for chefs, sommeliers and specialty retailers who prioritize terroir and drinkability—from by-the-glass programs to multi-course pairings.
